The Egyptian International Center for Agriculture was established in 1965 with the objective of sharing expertise and technology in agriculture through its training programmes to the professional cadres of Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Since its establishment, EICA trained more than 30000 professionals who have reached leadership positions in their respective countries and contributed to their development.
EICA capacity building programs last for 10 weeks and include various field trips. EICA’s programs cover a variety of topics such as: poultry production and health, rural development, livestock production, fisheries development, water management, project analysis, food processing technology and empowerment of rural women.
EICA allocates five scholarships each year to partner countries.
